Doesn't it?.. I had a similar problem and, once in a while it rears it's ugly head still but, I'm more prepared for it now though. Since the first time it happened, I've been pretty successful with having 2-3 hosting accounts on different servers, with different hosts (at about the same cost as a single dedicated server) and make sure that my most important sites are "mirrored" on at least 2 of the servers so, if a host caves in, it's just a matter of re-pointing the domain name to the other server. (I also make sure not to register my domains with the same companies than I host with). Additionally, I make sure that I have all my websites stored on my computer too. The only thing that keeps me from putting everything on a dedicated server is that, it is only one server. If it goes down, everything goes down. I suppose when my hosting costs exceed $300/mo., I will probably get 2 dedicated servers, so I'd be able to use the same strategy. Happy re-building, Mark. P.S. If anyone can bounce back from this type of thing quickly, it'll be you. Guido,

Happy re-building,

Mark.
