A Busy Weekend

A busy week is almost over and I’m done with re-building the websites from my crashed server. The Giveaway Announcer list is up an running… actually I’m already testing the version 2 of The Giveaway Announcer there. It includes now a system to easily build and manage multiple opt-in pages and it also tracks the number of visitors, signups and OTO sales.

This weekend is going to be a very busy one again. The Easy Viral Traffic will officially launch on Monday March 3rd. I’ve started a little affiliate contest for all members and you can win some nice cash prizes… see the details below.

It is not enough to have the best product possible and the most effective website to advertise it. The primary key to internet business success lies in your opt-in mailing list of clients. These are the names of the people willing to receive your offers and information.

It is not possible to build a successful list by merely putting a sign up invitation on your website. With the massive competition for people’s time and money you need to create an irresistible incentive for them to give you their name and address. There are several highly successful methods to tempt them.

Exclusive and informative ebooks about your market’s interests can be given away as gifts for signing up with your list. Reports about specific products or processes that teach valuable lessons to aid your customer also increase the number of people willing to sign up for your opt-in list. If your market uses such things, a helpful software program that makes their work easier is always welcome.

Another great way to gain those needed opt-in addresses is to offer membership in a special members only area where they are provided with extra services or information. By making them feel “special” they are more likely to continue allowing you to email them your offers. Providing quality information in a recurring emagazine or newsletter will keep your name familiar. If you are still relying on popups for your address capture field then you are losing sales everyday. To replace the popup, more often people are now coding their sites with “alert boxes”. This is a second field that appears over your webpage which should contain the information about the “special” offer and the address information data fields. There are many options for these boxes; some are static while others can be written to follow the viewer up and down the page as they scroll. Always make sure the alert box can be closed out so your original page can still be read.

Once you have them in your address book it is very important to keep them. As well as offering quality products or service it is a good idea to create interest channels of your clients. By keeping your list focused on the individuals interests and only sending to those who have specifically indicated their interest in a specific topic you will have fewer people unsubscribe because of too many emails off their topic or interest.

2 Listbuilding Secrets Revealed

Listbuilding is one of the hottest topics for internet marketing. Many people try it and most of them fail. That’s because they don’t know the small but effective secret techniques that the Gurus know. Yes, there are some very special tricks and techniques that most Gurus won’t tell you about. Building a list is the most important task for any online business owner. Your list is your marketing capital! When starting out it will all start very slow but your results will increase as time goes by. We all started with a list of zero subscribers… And many of us managed to build a list of 10.000+ in less than 6 months. Building a huge opt-in list is based on 2 factors:

Internet Marketing Hype And Lies

“Make $10.000 a month”… “Earn $5000 monthly within 30 days”… we all see these headlines at least once a day while surfing the net. All of us were beginners at some point in our marketing career and most of us took one or more of these Super Offers. If you have been there, then you know what I am talking about… if not, then read this article and save tons of cash.

As a newbie in internet marketing you need to get that thought “I can make some fast cash online” out of your head as fast as possible. It’s the cold hard truth that making money on the internet is not easy. If you are just starting out with no or just little investment capital and small knowledge about this biz, then be aware that you will most likely fail with your first projects. That’s just life… learn from it and become better. Those that don’t give up after failing will eventually be the next big names of internet marketing.

It’s all about learning, testing, tracking and coming up with the right idea at the right time. You cannot simply pull up a website, put some ads on it and start to make a full-time income… that just won’t happen. You need to develop a real business plan first… after you spotted your high demand niche. You need to create a product line, your sales funnel and most importantly a system that automates most of your tasks.

Treat your online business like a real business. An 8 hour day is nothing for a self-employed business man, most of them work 12 and more hours every day (or they did this in the past to get where they are). Forget about the idea of becoming rich quick, it won’t happen. Concentrate on building a solid business plan and putting that plan into reality, step by step.

Testing and tracking is the most overlooked tasks by newbies. Many people make the mistake to pull up a website that sells affiliate products… they test nothing. Then if they make no sales they turn away and try a different way to make money… they’ll end up with nothing. That’s why you need to start tracking everything… you need to find out what works and what does not work.

It all starts with your Squeeze Page / Opt-In Page, the front-end of your sales funnel. You test and track different Squeeze Pages and different elements on these Squeeze Pages to get the maximum number of signups out of your visitors. Once this task is mastered you test and improve your One-Time-Offer that you place in front of your signups after they have confirmed to opt-in to you list. The conversion rates of one-time-offers can vary a lot… some marketers claim to get as much as 50% of their subscribers to buy the OTO. You can aim for a 3% or 5% when you start out, that’s good enough for the beginning.

You basically continue with testing and tracking the various elements of your sales funnel until you know that your system is as profitable as it can get. Once this is mastered you can start to send traffic to your front-end of the sales funnel and rank in the profits.

Re-building Part 2

Today was a very busy day again. Since I got my new dedicated server 2 days ago I’ve started to re-build my websites that were lost on my other server. The Easy Viral Traffic website is already in Pre-Launch since yesterday. I’ve completely created that from scratch… and it’s a lot better than before :-)

Now it’s time to build up my influence in the giveaway market again. With the server crash I’ve lost my own installation of the Giveaway Announcer software. But still that was a list of 300 very targeted leads. All these people were interested in Giveaway Events and I always got tons of signups automatically. Well, it’s time to setup a new installation of the Giveaway Announcer again.

With this chance I’ve taken some time to improve the software and gave it some new functionality. That’s what I did almost the whole day… setting that system up and filling it with content. It’s now up and running smoothly… so it’s time to promote it. I’ll use my other membership sites and my opt-in list as well as Giveaway Events to get signups on my new installation of the Giveaway Announcer list.

The software now includes Gift Signup Pages. These are automatically designed Squeeze Pages with a signup box for the Giveaway Announcer, looking like this one here: Gift Page
One great functionality of these Gift Signup Pages is that they track visitors and sales. This way I can track different advertising sources. For example, I could add 10 of these pages and track 10 different giveaway events or 10 different safelists… So I can see how many visitors a source delivered and how many people signed up for the gift. I can also track different gifts / squeeze pages at one advertising source, for example in click exchanges or in giveaway events that allow 2 or more gifts. This allowes me to see which gift or squeeze page performs best.

What will I do with the data? Well, as you can imagine I’ll concentrate on the best squeeze page and on the best advertising sources once I got those tracking numbers. This will help me to cut down the time I spend in advertising… I won’t waste my time on sources that don’t work anymore.

Why do I tell you all this? Well, I always like to help people getting started with an online business and 99.99% of them don’t test and track! People simply start a website and write the sales copy or opt-in copy… no tracking, no improving… And I can tell you that it’s really possible to double or triple your opt-in rate or sales rate by testing and tracking… I’ve personally experienced it.

So my big call to action is: Start testing and tracking!

How I’ve Created My 10k Opt-In List

You have heard it a thousand times: “The money is in the list”… and I won’t tell you different because it is true. Building your own opt-in mailing list equals to building residual income. That’s because you can advertise different products or opportunities to your list and build up multiple income streams this way.

Imagine: A new program launches and you have a 10k mailing list… You’ll instantly get 100 or more signups to that new program with one mailing to your own opt-in list. You already know that? Well, I bet you do… but do you also know how to build that 10k list in less than 6 months? No? Then read on and put the here learned tips into practice, so that you’ll soon have your own 10k mailing list!

In order to build your own opt-in list you need to have a system in place first. This is mostly an autoresponder filled with your emails, a Squeeze Page to signup new people and backend offers to moneytize your list.

An autoresponder can either be web-hosted by a company that provides such a service or you can host your own autoresponder script on your own domain. A company-hosted autoresponder is probably better in regards of delivery rates, your own script gives you more control over your list… so it’s just a question of what you prefer: More control or higher delivery rates. Choose the type of autoresponder that you are comfortable with.

The Squeeze Page is the front-end of your opt-in list system. The quality of your Squeeze Page will determine the percentage of signups that you’ll get from your visitors. A bad created Squeeze Page with a weak web-copy will get you signup rates of 0.1% up to 1% … a top designed website with great web-copy will result in much higher signup rates of 3% or more.

Let’s do some math: You get 10.000 visitors to your Squeeze Page that has a signup rate of 0.3% … So you’ll have 30 opt-in leads. Now you send the same 10.000 visitors to a different Squeeze Page that has a signup rate of 3% … You’ll get 300 opt-in leads! do you see where that leads?

Before you send huge amounts of traffic to your Squeeze Page, make sure that you have the best signup rate that you can achieve. This can be done by split-testing and improving your Squeeze Page. Once this is done you can start to send as much traffic to your Squeeze Page as possible. Here are some free of cost techniques that will result in signups… providing you have a strong Squeeze Page.

1. Participate in JV Giveaway Events as a contributor

2. Use Manual Click Exchanges

3. Use Credit Based Safelists

4. Use Forum Signatures

5. Use Article Marketing

6. Use Viral Advertising Techniques

7. Use PPC Advertising (if you can make a positive ROI)

That’s it… no secrets, no dirty tricks and no black-hat techniques… it’s all about hard and persistent work and using as many traffic streams as you can. The above 7 are just some examples from literally hundreds of techniques that you can use to build your own opt-in list. Use this article as an “eye-opener” and digg deeper into each technique.. they all have some little special difficulties that wants to be mastered before they show their real potential.

Re-Building Half Of My Business

It’s a shame but it happened: My hosting company “Vodahost” deleted all my databases and all my files on their server. What did I do? Well, I’ve installed a new directory script that automatically builds up backlinks for me and somehow that script used too many server ressources. So the server automatically suspended my account and my websites were all offline.

So I contacted Vodahost and told them that this new script must have caused this and that I’ll delete that directory script once they get my websites back online. Well, they replied and told me: “We did a complete reset on your account… if you use any traffic scripts again we will completely remove your account”.

Wow… I replied and asked them to please get my website and databases back online… they must have a backup somewhere. I told them that they can completely remove my account if they can’t get my websites back up… I won’t risk to build up the websites again from scratch if they simply delete my stuff for no reason.

Well, they did not reply… and half my business is gone… great :-(

That means Vodahost has deleted all my databases, all my membership sites, my blog and a lot more. What a shame for a hosting company to do things like this with their customers!

Well… I’m a person who sees this as a chance to rebuild from scratch and to improve everything. I’ve created my own little challenge to rebuild everything and get double the results within one month… and I would like to invite you to read and follow my progress right here on the blog. I can’t promise to write about everything because it’s just too much. I basically create everything myself weather it be graphics, programming the scripts, writing content and promoting the websites.

As I write this I’ve already done the first important steps:

1. I’ve ordered a dedicated server which will cost me $170 each month. I think this is the best investment I can do to become independent from those buggy shared servers and rude hosting companies like Vodahost. One problem with these shared servers is that in most cases you are not allowed to send out more than 200 emails every hour. So if you run a huge giveaway event or a membership site it might happen that members don’t get their activation email.. and then you will have lots of non activated members. This happens if there are more than 200 signups in one hour… not unusual for giveaway events or program launches!

The second problem with shared servers is exactly what happened with me… loss of data, account suspensions… So for me the only way to be independent is the dedicated server.

2. While I’m waiting here to get my server details I’ve started to build my websites offline. I use the GWM2 script for all the membership sites that I’ll launch. I’ll go with each website in a Pre-Launch for at least 2 weeks, then follows the actual Launch. You will read about these launches here on the blog.
